Made Possible.** - Supports and serves as back up to CI Manager - Administers quality standards for paperboard products, and related raw materials, during printing, cutting, folding, gluing and packaging processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. **JOB FUNCTIONS** - Performs and monitors quality checks in all departments to ensure defects do not occur. - Train operators on how to identify and prevent product defects - Train operators on quality checks and testing SOP’s. - Works with operators to troubleshoot defects and determine correct course of action - Performs daily testing for customer products, as required - Determines and manages substandard product and raw materials (paperboard) determining what can/should be sold, sorted/reworked or scrapped - Enters Vendor (Raw Material) Complaints into SAP - Manages quality incident investigation process to ascertain root cause(s) - for use in recommending preventive measures and improving quality - Oversees all sort activities (establish sort standards, mentor and monitor temporary employees, SAP entries, and housekeeping) - Performs customer and internal sampling requirements - Participate in internal and external customer visits - Manages quality lab (testing, calibrations, trouble shooting, housekeeping, and training) - Develops and maintains documents and SOPs - Schedule vacations and manage coverage for CI department - Do orientation for all new employees - COA’s, EOM reporting, and Color Management - Gathers data as requested for projects/troubleshooting, etc. - Participates in safety and quality behavior based observations. - Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork **JOB SPECIFICATIONS** - High School Diploma, GED - Active Listening Skills – Ability to listen to what others are saying and then ask appropriate questions - Speaking Skills – Ability to talk to others and effectively convey information - Persuasion – Ability to persuade others to approach things differently - Troubleshooting – print defects - Visual Color Discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors **GPI’s Benefit Program** + **Competitive Pay** + **401(k) w/employer matching** + **Health & Welfare Benefits** + **Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage** + **Short and Long-Term Disability** + **Life Insurance** + **Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance** + **Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts** + **Various Voluntary benefits** + **Adoption Assistance Program** + **Employee Discount Programs** + **Employee Assistance Program** + **Tuition Assistance Program** + **Paid Time Off + 11 paid company holidays each year** **Applications accepted on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.** **Graphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
