Quality Assurance Associate II
Quality Assurance Associate II Department: Manufacturing Direct Employment Type: Full Time Location: Cazenovia, New York Reporting To: Quality Assurance Manager Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 / hour Description Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of duties in support of the company using established procedures Key Responsibilities + Performs visual and dimensional inspection of received products. + Compares parts received to purchase order requirements. + Completes required paperwork and enters information into the system. + Inspects small electronic components under high magnification (microscope, stereoscope). + Performs a variety of tests to determine if customer and Knowles requirements are met. + Supports data collection as requested for performance metric reporting. + Backup for X-ray of waffle packs and creation/review of Certificate of conformance. + Aids in completion of FAI paperwork per AS9102 standard + Follow and support all safety practices by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and complying with safety signs and placards, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices and conditions to your local or PD EHS teams, and reporting all safety incidents (including near misses) as they occur. + Any other duties that may be assigned Skills, Knowledge and Expertise + A High School diploma or equivalent is required. + Experience with inspection of electrical components under high magnification preferred. + Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. + Experience in fast-paced materials environment. + Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision. + Requires good organizational, accountability and tracking skills. + Attention to detail is paramount. + General working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel). One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting hourly rate for this role is targeted to be between $21 to $25 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
