This role involves performing statistical analyses, developing process controls, and advocating for customer quality requirements. Responsibilities + Perform statistical analysis on finished goods using tools like Power BI to ensure process control. + Assist in developing production process controls and recommend improvements to enhance product quality. + Initiate change requests for formula, process, or specification based on quality metrics. + Develop methods to eliminate batch adjustments and improve product quality. + Initiate Gage R&R studies for the QC Lab and evaluate results. + Complete APQP Product Hand Off packets with development staff and attend hand-off meetings. + Assist in updating Process Flows, P-FMEA, Control Plans, and Test Procedures. + Help maintain the company-wide calibration program. + Revise and maintain test procedures and SOPs related to quality and production. + Act as a lab liaison and assist Quality Assurance Manager with quality-related tasks. + Assist customers with material quality issues promptly and issue Quality Alerts as needed. + Delegate tasks to QC support staff to expedite response time and update corrective action records. + Compile reports for customers, respond to inquiries professionally, and complete customer surveys. + Participate in planning IATF requirements, internal audits, and corrective action investigations. + Assist during customer and surveillance audits and maintain quality-related performance metrics. + Promote Customer Requirement Awareness and maintain customer requirements and manuals. + Participate in training activities to become a subject matter expert and lead inventory activities. Essential Skills + Experience in quality assurance and control, including ISO standards and audits. + Proficiency in statistical analysis and mathematics. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Experience with Quality Management Systems and ERP systems. + Knowledge of chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, physics, or mathematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science in a STEM field. + 1+ years of hands-on experience working with ISO 9001 standards. + Experience with IATF16949 activities is highly desirable. + Strong computer skills and ability to work within quality management systems. Work Environment The position requires working mainly in the office, with occasional lab work and collaboration with production. The work hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
