Join our dynamic team as a Quality Control Chemist, where you'll perform essential testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products following established procedures. Your role will ensure compliance with GMP requirements while maintaining high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesPerform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products according to written procedures.Ensure current standard operating and test procedures are utilized.Maintain accurate documentation records in compliance with GMP requirements.Develop and maintain an understanding of various testing methodologies, techniques, and potential errors.Keep records neat and accurate and maintain clean and organized work areas.Ensure product quality specifications and customer standards are met and maintained to the customer's satisfaction.Verify test results meet current specifications before completion and approval.Perform batch adjustments as necessary in batch-making procedures.Troubleshoot out-of-specification (OOS) situations.Maintain current reference and product standards.Update test procedures and specifications as needed.Utilize data to focus improvement efforts to meet customer requirements and regulatory regulations.Accurately record all data (cGMP) and pertinent information.Document monthly Key Quality Incidents (KQI).Document OOS situations, determine root cause, and suggest possible solutions.Maintain compliance with current regulatory expectations and practices (e.g., USP).Understand and maintain a culture of 'lean action' within the department.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Chemistry.0-2 years of QC industry experience in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or food sectors.Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including wet chemistry, FTIR, and quality control methods.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with pH meters, Brookfield spindle viscometers, analytical balances.Familiarity with visual and odor inspections.Experience with solution preparation, wet chemistry titrations, HPLC, GC, and UV is a plus.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
