Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Quality Engineer to join our team for a 3-month contract. The Quality Engineer will focus on revamping processes and documentation within our water filter division, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop new process control plans for molding, pre-assembly, assembly, and packing areas.Review and update existing quality standards to ensure they are up to date and being followed.Review, update, and post visual work instructions on Gemba boards.Develop parameter sheets to document key variables by machine and record every shift.Enhance current electronic QC inspection plans to include key quality metrics and post results daily on Gemba boards.Develop quality defect boards for all known defects and establish a pass/fail visual system.Develop processes to measure glue weight and establish correct targets.Create and implement a lot plan for tracking production.Essential SkillsExperience in process control and corrective action plans.Knowledge of food-grade materials and plastic injection molding.Audit, work instruction, root cause analysis.Proficiency in quality engineering, quality management, quality control, and quality assurance.Associate's degree in an engineering discipline.2+ years of professional experience as a quality engineer.2+ years of experience within a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsIAPMO CertificationWork Environment
The work environment includes 40 to 45 hour work weeks, primarily during the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays. The hours are typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a few hours on Friday if needed. The role involves 50% office work and 50% supporting shop activities, investigating processes.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
