Job Title: Quality Engineer Client is unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future. Job Description The Quality Engineer will support GM launch by ensuring the implementation of engineering changes, supplier changes, and process improvements in current production. This role focuses on risk assessment, validation, and compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements while minimizing production disruptions. Responsibilities + Lead quality aspects of engineering and supplier changes. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain) to assess and validate changes before implementation. + Ensure all quality documentation (Control plans, FMEA, WI) is updated accordingly. + Support process validation activities, including capability studies, PPAP, and Run at Rate. + Ensure supplier PPAP submissions are reviewed and approved in alignment with customer and company standards. + Ensure compliance with IATF, AIAG Core Tools, and internal Quality Management System. Essential Skills + Root cause analysis + Quality assurance + Supplier development + PPAP + Program launch + Automotive manufacturing process + Continuous improvement + Lean manufacturing + Project management + Poke yoke + Supplier quality + Quality management system + Corrective action plans + Six Sigma certification + Audit + Quality management Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience + 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering + Strong knowledge of core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, and SPC) + Experience creating PPAPs and related documentation + Ability to read part drawings + Work experience in the automotive industry, with emphasis on electro/mechanical devices + Knowledge of EV components such as motors and inverters + Experience dealing with automotive customers + Bilingual Japanese language/translation + Knowledge of Quality Systems such as Q1, IATF16949, NPI (New Product Introduction), FMEA, Control Plans, etc. + Experience with the development of SAP, Control Plans, FMEA’s, Process Operations Standards, etc. + Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering to assist with decisions related to Electro-Mechanical Processes + Well-organized, attention to detail, and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously + Ability to lead projects obtaining the support of multiple departments + Analytical skills to understand product and process change points impact + Knowledge with problem-solving tools, such as 5P, 5-why, DOE, FTA, etc., with strong aptitude toward root cause analysis Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
