Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the products meet both customer and internal requirements. This role involves documenting results of test and inspection activities and proactively communicating findings in a timely manner.

The work environment is split 50/50 between office and floor settings, offering a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. The products involved include ceramic and crystal, machined items with applications in DoD, medical, and C&IP sectors, maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The position adheres to the ISO9001:2015 Quality Standard, contributing to a cutting-edge product line in an essential business.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $65000.00/yr.

Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy

To provide for a work/life balance, TRS provides Paid Time Off (PTO) to full-time employees. Paid Time Off (PTO) provides hours for employees to use as they want, need, or desire. Whenever an employee needs or wants to take time off, the PTO policy allows them to use time as paid hours and it is up to the employee how to use this time as they want.

Eligibility
Full-time employees: anyone working 40 hours/week or more is eligible for PTO based on their years of service.

Use and Scheduling PTO
You must use PTO when taking time off from work for any reason. PTO can be taken in increments as low as one hour.

All PTO requests are subject to your supervisor’s approval and will be based on production staffing needs. We understand that unscheduled absences occasionally happen; however, when possible, PTO should be scheduled in advance.

You must use your PTO hours according to your normal workday. For example, if you work an eight-hour day and need to take a full day, you must request eight hours of PTO. Likewise, ten-hour days will need a request for ten-hours of PTO. PTO is paid at your regular pay rate and is not subject to overtime.

All PTO must be used in the calendar year (January 1st through December 31st).

Medical Benefits

TRS Technologies employee’s healthcare provider is Capital Blue Cross. An employee becomes eligible for coverage beginning the first day of full-time employment. Of this coverage, 75% is paid by the TRS with a 25% co-pay by the employee. Any questions regarding your coverage, please see the administration team.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Plan

We currently provide a Short-term Disability Plan and a Long-term Disability Plan through Guardian for all of our employees. These plans offers benefits to be paid in case of disability. The benefit level provided is 66 2/3% of monthly salary up to a maximum of $6,000 monthly. The benefits extend to the duration of SSNRA (Social Security Normal Retirement Age). These policies also include partial disability benefits should an employee be able to work on a part-time basis. These are just a few highlights of the plan.

Dental Plan

We currently provide an option for a dental plan through SunLife. This plan offers you and your family flexible, high-quality dental benefits. Of this coverage, 50% of the premium is paid by TRS and 50% is paid by the employee. Please consult your benefits manual for a brochure on the benefits offered by this plan.

Life Insurance Plan

We have decided to adopt a cafeteria style voluntary insurance program through AFLAC. This plan offers voluntary employee paid plans. The program offers many different types of insurances, some of which are listed below:

These benefits are individually based and completely voluntary, it is your choice whether or not to participate.

Vision Plan

We currently offer vision benefits through VBA Vision. VBA Vision provides improved benefits and cost savings to you and your family.

Savings Plan

We currently offer a 401K Savings Plan at this time. The Savings Plan is through Voya Financial Services and TRS Technologies provides safe harbor employer contributions of 3% of gross pay with a potential for Profit Sharing. Employees are eligible after three months of employment.
