Summary

Supports QC department activities concerned with the quality control of industrial

processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be

assigned.


Follows directives in support of internal and external quality issue resolutions.

Documents data obtained during quality assurance activities, consistent with company

policies and procedures.

Generates and/or records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures (SPC)

methods to analyze data and evaluate the current process and process changes.

Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.

Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.

Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance

activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.

Assists with the maintenance and enhancement of TS16949 quality management system

within IUM.

Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance

activities.

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve

optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.


Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with

management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability of standards.

Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.

Communicates with customers or vendors as directed.


Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.

Follows policies and procedures.

Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions.

Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of college.
