The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all blasted and/or painted products meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards. This role oversees quality control processes, conducts inspections, maintains documentation, and communicates directly with customers regarding quality expectations and audits.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct inspections and tests using specified equipment to verify compliance with product and process specifications.Approve in-process and finished products, ensuring they meet quality standards before release.Maintain accurate and organized quality records in accordance with company and customer requirements.Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and control of quality testing equipment.Communicate inspection results and quality issues to production staff and supervisors in a timely manner.Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and audits, maintaining a professional and responsive relationship.Train new employees on quality control procedures, testing methods, and safety practices.Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.Stay current with industry standards, testing practices, and regulatory requirements.Promote a culture of safety and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.Maintain awareness of emergency procedures related to shop operations, including accidents, alarms, and weather-related events.Cross-train in other quality-related functions to support team flexibility and coverage.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, testing equipment, and quality standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.Ability to train and mentor team members in quality practices and safety protocols.Familiarity with industry regulations and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

The work environment requires a lot of standing and climbing on ladders, including going inside products to check the quality of paint. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
