Role Overview

As a Quant Analyst at Liquidnet, you will play an important role in supporting a leading agency electronic trading brokerage and equity trading desk in the APAC region.

This role will enable the individual to deploy their programming and data skills to create incisive analysis on product usage and market structure content; across market data, historical tick data, market signal events, and statistical methodologies.

As an integral part of our Analytics team, this position primarily supports the Trading Desk function. It offers opportunities to extend beyond the traditional quantitative analyst role, allowing for growth and development within the team.

Role Responsibilities:

Running Global TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) reports and ad-hoc analysis for APAC clients across all Liquidnet’s products, including Negotiated and Algorithmic tradingDeliver the analytics offering to clients, seeking mechanisms and opportunities to integrate it into the Sales functionAnalyze clients’ trades on a regular basis as part of best execution obligationsContribute to ideas-generation on ways to quantify market structure nuances and provide timely updates at times of changesAutomating client report production and working with analytics development team on future analytic platform developmentsLiaise with global peers to ensure enhancements to APAC analytics deliverables are addressedContribute to maintenance of existing quant models regularly and adjustment of global models for local requirementsWorking with regional Marketing to help design and develop marketing materials for Liquidnet products and performance.Participate in ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Experience / Competences

Essential:

Qualifications in Mathematics, Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experienceAbility and ease of working with large datasetsA strong aptitude for analytical and quantitative thinkingMust possess a hands-on attitude at all levels and a building analysis capability (this may involve developing the necessary system and technical knowledge to be able to trade and provide thought leadership and input into the design of our analytics platform).Solutions-orientated from both an innovative and strategic perspectiveProven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levelsExcellent listening, written, analytical, strategic and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated development skills in a collaborative, team-oriented stylePassion for staying current with industry trends; incorporating emerging best practices into everyday work

Desired:

Practical programming experience in Python and/or SQLStrong knowledge of Asia-Pacific equities markets and/or electronic trading
