Job Description

The Radiology Assistant will support the clinic Radiology and Ultrasound Departments by assisting the x-ray technologist and medical sonographer. Job duties will include preparing patient for radiology exams, helping with exams, wayfinding assistance to patients, and transporting patients to and from exam rooms. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient workflow within the radiology department and delivering high-quality patient care. Will help in maintaining accurate records of patient information and radiographic procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients. Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to be eligible for employment.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
