This position will be responsible for loading and unloading Natural Gas Liquids into or from tank cars, trucks and/or barges using material moving equipment. May perform a variety of other tasks relating to receipt and shipment of products such as pulling samples of products to be tested for product qualities, perform visual and mechanical inspections, document and approve transport vessel integrity for shipment via rail, public roads and/ or navigable water ways.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Loads and unloads natural gas liquids into or from tank cars, trucks and/or barges using material moving equipment.
+ Monitors product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with other workers to ensure constant product flow.
+ Operates industrial equipment to move rail cares to and from loading areas, if applicable
+ Checks conditions and weights of vessels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures and all other applicable regulations.
+ Inspects and ensures all shipping vessels are mechanically sound, leak free, properly labeled, and ready for shipment per applicable regulations.
+ Accurately records loading information such as products and quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers.
+ Performs general warehouse activities, such as, but not limited to, opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Must hold a valid Driver License with excellent driving record
+ Must be able to pass drug test and background check
+ Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

+ Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrates with minimal guidance ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles such as, but not limited to, sounds, heat conduction, velocity, gravity, friction, pressure, kinetic and potential energy, etc. when working or using mechanical machinery. Demonstrates knowledge of mechanical tools and their appropriate application.
+ Operation & Control: Develops understanding of how process controls and automation are used to operate equipment in process plant.
+ Rail Operations: Demonstrates with minimal guidance knowledge of railroad yard and terminal physical configurations such as, length of siding, location of signals and switches, terminal trackage. Demonstrates with minimal guidance knowledge of rail tank cars used to transport gaseous commodities and is familiar with railyard communication protocols and safety practices.
+ Reading Comprehension: Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
+ Safety: Applies in difficult or complex situations ability to recognize safety risks in operational activities and use appropriate measures to control and manage identified risks.
+ Safety Awareness: Ability to recognize and identify potential hazards. Evaluates changes in work environment with respect to impact on safety of self and others. Understands potential threats created by deviation from safety procedures and improper use of tools and equipment. Uses personal protection equipment. Uses tools and equipment in compliance with manuals and training. Calls attention to potential and actual hazardous conditions as they arise.
