In the role of Railroad Project Manager Assistant – Facilities, we'll count on you to:Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Managerfor a variety of main line, industrial, yard, terminal, and facilities projects with Class I railroads, short line railroads, industrial clients, and agenciesResponsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger projectCoordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and scheduleWork with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsMust be able to pass a background checkMust be legally able to work in the United StatesMust have a valid license to operate motor vehicles in accordance with applicable state lawPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering, with an Electrical emphasis.Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.Previous experience working with freight railroad clients.Local client experiencePreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field 5 years related experience Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
