The Raw Material Specialist is primarily responsible for sampling & releasing of incoming raw materials. The Raw Material Specialist coordinates with Warehouse and Quality Control personnel to coordinate sample testing.
Shift: 1st (Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM)

The Role
Sample raw materials for the Analytical laboratory and customers.
Release raw materials for manufacturing use. Will include after hours, weekend call-ins and limited travel to off-site warehouse.
Coordinate daily tasks with QC Supervisor, Raw Materials/QC Management.
Maintain Certificate of Analyses on all raw materials.
Correspond with suppliers/customers/co-workers for required documents.
Maintain raw material retain samples for the Analytical laboratory; maintain applicable QC files.
Assist in the review, revision and/or writing of SOP’s/documents related to position.
Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
High School Diploma Required with a minimum of 6 months of directly applicable experience in the industry; Bachelors Degree preferred.
Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and Catalent SOP’s
Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel), general computer literacy
Working knowledge and experience with JDE and pharmaceutical compendia’s
Ability to complete metric conversions and perform general mathematical calculations
Attaining and sustaining postures required to work in industrial setting. Kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting and other static postures required to be positioned in optimal placement for performing maintenance tasks. Overhead reach, pushing, pulling and hand-held tool use. Compound tasks including but not limited to sustained posture with overhead reach in concert with tool use. Properly positioning equipment for maintenance - Items including tools and lab equipment (1 to 15 lbs.), larger scale pieces of equipment involving multiple personnel for lift (>50 lbs).
