Real Estate & Hospitality Industry Practice Leader

Provide risk engineering leadership and support to Chubb’s Real Estate & Hospitality (REH) Industry Practice Tower that encompasses Chubb’s Commercial Insurance, Major Accounts, Westchester, Bermuda, and Small Commercial Insurance business units.

Travel for this role will be 25+% of the time.

 

Responsibilities:

Coordinate complex account stewardship throughout North America Engage in direct client/policyholder survey and service interaction when and where necessary to procure, support and retain profitable business Liaise with North America Underwriting REH Industry Practice Leaders in Chubb Major Accounts and Commercial Insurance to establish agreed upon Risk Engineering business priorities and support other Chubb divisions who focus on REH, including Chubb Westchester and Bermuda on an as-need basis Develop and train field risk engineers who conduct multi-line surveys and services throughout North America, focusing on unique REH occupancies including casinos/gaming and full-service destination resorts Partner with risk engineering Line of Business (LoB) leadership  to ensure REH-focused exposures are uniformly addressed across the Chubb portfolio including ergonomics, on premises slip and fall, business auto, site security, liquor liability and IH concerns such as legionella Create, manage, and update technical subject matter including internal guidelines and resources Liaise with Chubb Risk Consulting Client Service & Distribution Leader to ensure bunded and sold service is effectively delivered Manage REH risk evaluation Quality Assurance (QA) process for ensuring consistent report and service quality Ensure risk engineering utilization efforts are appropriate and followed by underwriting Create externally facing thought leadership guidance Perform project research in support of REH underwriting and claims Manage Chubb Risk Consulting’s support of the REH portfolio through internal Chubb platforms Minimum 8 years in insurance risk engineering, loss controlFour-year college degree with major in Safety & Health, Sciences, or EngineeringProfessional designations or certifications (i.e. Certified Safety Professional, Certified Fire Protection Specialist)Dedicated REH expertise and proven track record for surveying and servicing multi-line (property and casualty) risk assessments and service deliverablesSuperior understanding of standards including the ability to interpret and apply based on thorough understanding of the science of the standardA proven ability to create, plan, organize, implement, execute, and manage successful risk management programs and initiatives, including the ability to interact with senior level managementExcellent oral and written communication skills, as well as an established capability in public speaking to deliver training to personnel and business partnersStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions, concentrating on high priority issues as needed and in a timely mannerDemonstrated success with developing, implementing, and executing strategies, procedures, guidelines and service plansThorough understanding of Risk Engineering operations, techniques, loss prevention principles and standards, industrial operations, and insurance related activitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. A working knowledge of SharePoint and Access preferred

 

The pay range for the role is $111,600 to $189,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
