Qualifications: The following are preferred:
Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of Refrigeration/Mechanical school or completion of a minimum of three years apprenticeship . Experience Level: Minimum of three years in Grocery Refrigeration and HVAC related work. Skills and Experiences: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and care to avoid mechanical breakdowns. Able to respond to direct and radio requests as soon as possible. Able to maintain proper neat uniform appearance of Company provided work shirt and employee provided clean blue jeans without holes or tears. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required including arc flash and safety glasses. Must be computer literate. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must possess an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders. Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance. General record keeping skills. Customer service orientation and sensitivity to diverse needs of coworkers, employees, and other persons contacted in the daily course of work. Ability to work independently. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Most work is performed in both indoor and outdoor work environments. Ability to perform manual labor. Incumbent may use various trade tools, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday. Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching is required in completion of job dutiesThe pay range is $50.00 to $62.00 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 100% based on assigned geographical area.
