Who is the Regional Finance Manager?

The Controllership function actively shapes and supports the execution of strategic priorities in the organization. It seeks to enhance business performance and shareholder value through continuous efficiency and effectiveness of financial policies, business processes, and systems.

This role supports the Head of Finance – Controllership APAC in overall financial activities in the region, working closely with n-country Finance, SCM, and other teams on various projects and initiatives. The Regional Finance Manager will drive process improvements, ensure efficient delivery of Finance COE services, and provide strategic financial guidance to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

Financial Management:Oversee APAC month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate transactions and timely financial reporting and provide strategic financial guidance to enhance decision-making.Manage financials of 5 regional entities, ensuring compliance to standards and regulations.Process Improvements:Drive continuous improvements in process efficiency, leveraging LEAN/Kaizen methodologies across APAC.Build and document processes, and train Finance teams to ensure best practices are followed.Compliance, Governance and Controls:Provide guidance to in-country finance teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards and ensure robust internal controls are in place and adhered to across all financial operations and company policies.Lead the familiarization, update, and communication of Standard Policies and Procedures throughout the region.Initiate, plan, and supervise audit cycles with lead auditors and in-country finance teams in the APAC region.Ensure compliance with external statutory reporting requirements for audit and tax, including the preparation and submission of accurate financial statements and tax filings.Finance COE Delivery:Work with regional and in-country finance teams to align Finance COE services with business needs, drive process standardization and performance optimization.Regularly evaluate the Finance COE team's performance to ensure they meet SLAs and KPIs and maintain high-quality financial data and reports.Project Management:Lead special projects to enhance finance operations and efficiency and provide support for new product launches from a financial perspective, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and corporate policies.Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals (both direct and indirect), fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture across regional and in-country teams.Ensure effective communication and alignment of team goals with organizational objectives, leveraging influence to drive consistency and collaboration across the Finance COE and in-country teams.Promote a positive work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, influencing in-country teams to adopt best practices and corporate values.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

8 to 10 years of finance experience, ideally in subscription-based industries, insurance, telecommunication or big 4 accounting firms.Proven track record in leading and implementing change initiatives to boost efficiency and effectiveness.Extensive experience in overseeing operational finance functions, including shared services, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Background in regional finance management, supervising financial operations and virtual teams and exhibit initiative and proactive problem-solving abilities.Established leadership capabilities with a knack for motivating and developing team members and strong decision-making abilities, capable of working independently.Proficient in engaging with all levels of staff, promoting a collaborative atmosphere.Proven ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and adaptable to changes, willing to question the status quo.Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality with clear and effective communicator, both in writing and speaking.Familiarity with financial systems like Onestream and Microsoft Dynamics (DAX) is a plus. Knowledge of CoPilot and AI tools in Finance is also advantageous.
