Position Overview:

At Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations, we continue to build the finest pontoons, steeped in a rich history of quality and innovation. The Repair Technician is responsible for repairing pontoon boats that will include painting and repairing fiberglass and aluminum parts, using various hand and power tools to make repairs in production that may arise from railing through final finish.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to properly repair fiberglassAbility to properly repair all painted surfaces.Completed Yellow belt training preferredKnowledge of job duties from railing through final preferredMust be able to work in fast paced and changing environmentKnowledge of 5S and safety standardsAbility to use hand, power and air tools related to fiberglass and paint repair.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team environmentAbility to multi-taskKnowledge of procedures, instructions and documents as it relates to the quality system

Possess working knowledge of computer software applications along with strong record keeping abilities

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20-$28/hr., hourly.  The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.
