Position Purpose:
The Repair & Warranty Coordinator processes, reviews and administers warranty claims including repairs and refunds in collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, quality, sourcing and engineering. This position works under a medium level of supervision.
Essential Functions:
Evaluates customer warranty issues by periods and/or root cause (contractual and/or by law)
Reviews and maintains item status in WISE
Manages inventory or overhaul/repair units
Evaluates supplier warranty issues by periods and/or root cause (contractual and/or by law)
Creates and tracks work orders
Performs cost analysis
Communicates with CSRs about tracking of delivering dates
Provides data for cost estimation
Creates detailed repair reports
Acts as/supports SQE in processing internal and external nonconforming material
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Ability to effectively work in a team environment and maintain good customer focus. Good understanding of organizational structure and flow of information in the company
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, electrical packaging diagrams, hydraulic and electronic schematics
Solid knowledge of Woodward products, component function and testing. Understands assembly and test processes, drawings and geometric tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures and how they impact designs
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic technical writing skills. Ability to interact effectively with customers during witness testing
Good PC skills using spreadsheet, word processing, and WISE screens
Good knowledge of appropriate WISE applications such as BOM, Item Master, NCR, EC screens, part tracking
Ability to read and understand contractual terms and conditions
Good decision making ability
Education:
NITEC in any discipline
Diploma in any discipline (preferred)
Experience:
Experience in Operations, repair or related field
