The purpose of the Reporting Analyst role is to provide support of the ongoing data collection and reporting of Services Procurement Management (SPM) program information, obtained from a variety of data sources. It involves development and preparation for extract/transform/load functions by analyzing program data from conceptualization through presentation of the data for the client and program operations team.
Making an Impact
• Develop complex spreadsheets, documents, reports and presentations including the following: weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, organization specific reports, standing calls, business reviews, key performance indicators and historical documentation.
• Ensure, through review and verification, that informational product deliverables meet specifications including timeliness and quality.
• Research, analyze and respond to operations team and client one-off data inquiries that are routine in nature.
• Follow up with vendors, the operations team and client managers to obtain relevant data and clarify incomplete or inaccurate data.
• Update the group SharePoint site with reports delivered/presented to the client and key reference data for various internal organizations.
• Develop and maintain operational process-specific and reporting-specific job aids, templates and advanced Excel workbooks using multiple data sources.
• Analyze reporting discrepancies to determine the root cause and identify an immediate solution.
• Apply functional and analytical expertise to ensure uploads and reporting requirements can be met despite VMS system limitations/errors.
• Perform routine (high level) audits to ensure accuracy and quality assurance of system data.
• Accountable for meeting client SLAs pertaining to all reporting requirements.
• Perform advanced data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing program and client requests to meet urgent and standard reporting needs.
• Support the Project Manager by providing regular status updates to stakeholders and client during meetings; include detailed requirements, change management recommendations, risk logs and testing results throughout the project lifecycle and rollout phases.
• Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT); identify, document and track bugs or issues, working closely with developers to resolve them.
• Contribute to the development of test plans, test cases and testing documentation.
• Ability to manage deliverables, emails, meetings and provide timely updates. Comfortable with presenting during client meetings and training sessions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Experience gathering and analyzing client requirements and translating them into actionable insights or technical specifications.
• Ability to manage client expectations and provide timely updates on project progress and deliverables.
• Comfortable leading client meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
Sharing Expertise
• Provide ad hoc training to the client, suppliers and internal PMO on the reporting tool to optimally leverage the power of the VMS tool. Also train on processes that will require use of Excel workbooks to perform tasks.
• Analyze department and company systems and processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Gaining Exposure
• Act as an internal expert for internal MSP operation teams that utilize VMS (Fieldglass) by participating in reoccurring internal meetings and user group defined in Microsoft Teams.
