Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Reporting Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to play a critical role in ensuring the transparency, accuracy, and effectiveness of project reporting within the infrastructure domain. This role combines project governance, performance analytics, and stakeholder communication to drive successful project outcomes and compliance. The right candidate will bring technical knowledge, reporting expertise, and leadership skills to support complex infrastructure initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Project Reporting and Governance:
Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks for infrastructure projects.
Prepare periodic status reports (daily/weekly/monthly), dashboards, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Monitor project KPIs, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Maintain risk, issue, and change logs with appropriate escalation and mitigation actions.
2. Project Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all project documentation, including project charters, plans, and closure reports, are complete and compliant with organizational standards.
Track compliance with internal project governance models, contract terms, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate internal and external audits related to project delivery and compliance.
3. Stakeholder Communication and Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project reporting across departments.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and executive leadership to gather and validate project data.
Ensure transparent and consistent communication of project progress, risks, and resource needs.
4. Performance Monitoring and Analytics:
Analyze project performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations for project optimization.
Support decision-making with detailed analytics, forecasting, and variance analysis.
5. Tool and Process Improvement:
Evaluate and enhance reporting tools and templates for improved efficiency and accuracy.
Drive the implementation of project management and reporting software/tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Power BI).
Standardize reporting processes across multiple infrastructure programs and portfolios.
6. Team Leadership and Mentorship:
Mentor junior reporting analysts and coordinators, providing guidance and support in their development.
Set reporting standards and ensure adherence across all projects.
Support cross-functional teams in adopting reporting best practices and tools.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure project environments.
Proven track record in project reporting, governance, and stakeholder communication.
Experience working in large-scale infrastructure, construction, or public sector projects.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and reporting frameworks.
Proficient in MS Project, Primavera, Power BI, Excel, and other project reporting tools.
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, budgeting, and forecasting.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and public-private partnership frameworks.
Ability to create automated dashboards and reporting tools.
Exposure to enterprise project management software (e.g., Oracle PPM, SAP PS).
Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities.
