**Position Overview** **:**
The Retail Credit Analyst is responsible for the credit, collections and short payment (disputes) resolution for a portfolio of retailer accounts (Walmart, Amazon, West Marine, etc.). This position works directly with our customers and cross-functional internal teams to resolve open disputes timely and accurately while striving to exceed departmental benchmarks.

Essential Functions:
+ Timely investigation of disputes taken by retailers (short shipments, pricing, non-compliance, etc.) by gathering evidence via web portal or direct contact with customer/carrier; work with sale teams to determine validity, and where needed, request repayment from customer
+ Apply remittance advice to customer account
+ Collection calls of past due invoices
+ Manage order release process of restricted orders
+ Establish lines of credit in accordance with the delegation of authority matrix
+ Develop relationships to maintain and improve our internal business partnerships with Sales, Finance and Customer Service; actively participate in identifying ways to increase collaboration
+ Pursue best in class solutions for improvement in all dispute processing
+ Serve as backup to retail analysts for additional divisions
+ Ad-hoc reporting and other functions as requested

Required Qualifications:
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize work, driver for results, multi-task, and effectively manage change
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to summarize and process facts in writing and verbally to customer and internal partners
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills while suggesting workable solutions
+ Ability to make independent judgments regarding technical issues
+ Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
+ Strong negotiation skills
+ Ability to track trends in a report
+ Self-motivated, ability to work with little supervision
+ Ability to reset priorities to meet daily demands
+ Proficient in Excel and Word
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ 2-5 years of related experience
The anticipated pay range for this position is $46,000 – $72,200 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
