Title: Revenue Accountant
Location: Fully Remote (EST)
Pay: $80 -$110 an hour
A industry leading SaaS company is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their team! This role includes a large range of duties
including but not limited to reviewing and analyzing complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606. You will participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, including commissions accounting close activities and deliverables such as reconciliations, revenue dashboards & reporting, revenue reserves, and flux analysis. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting and prepare revenue-related reports for financial statement disclosures and much more!
Job Responsibilities:
Review and analyze complex customer contracts for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities.Deliver commissions accounting close activities and related deliverables like reconciliations, dashboards, and revenue reserves.Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting.Prepare revenue-related reports for financial statement disclosures.Lead or support the implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems.Collaborate to define systems requirements and ensure alignment with accounting policies.Perform systems testing, validation, and user training for new implementations or enhancements.Interface with internal and external auditors on revenue-related issues.Support US GAAP audit and maintain SOX control documentation.Experience:
Expertise in revenue recognition and month-end processes.Experience in the SaaS industry.3-5 years of experience in a revenue accounting role within the SaaS technology or subscription-based industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.High proficiency with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module in multi-currencies and multi-subsidiaries environment.Public accounting experience preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.Experience in Power BI, Salesforce CRM, and RevPro is advantageous.System implementation and user acceptance testing experience (NetSuite, RevPro) preferred.Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $110.00/hr.
