Job Description

This is a contingent requistion to support the proposal requirements.   

 

HII is seeking a RF Engineer expert for a USG customer in the Northern Virginia area.  You will support the development, operation, and testing of RF system prototypes in addition to leading the training and development of engineers.  

 

You will support quick reaction efforts to develop, test, and operate RF systems in collaboration with an on-site engineering team.  The position requires a functional understanding of a wide range of COTS, GOTS, and custom RF components and subsystems.  Components are comprised of, but are not limited to, software defined radios, filters, oscillators, amplifiers, switches, and limiters.  Provide assessments of technical and programmatic viability with respect to new technologies.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Designs, develops, tests radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products. Includes antenna design, both reflector and array systems, frequency synthesizers, transmitters and receivers.

Minimum Qualifications 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Experience with COTS components shown above  Organizational skills to develop and manage a material and equipment, stock inventory system  Experience complying with HAZMAT materials in accordance with EPA regulations  Must possess a TS/SCI w/Full Scope Poly clearance  Preferred Requirements Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)  Demonstrated experience with LabView  Creativity to address non-standard problem sets  Ability to operate independently and at a fast-pace  Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
