Our unit cares for a diverse mix of patients requiring intensive, progressive, and even medical/surgical care. This acuity-adaptable model allows nurses to care for patients throughout their stay, reducing transfers and enhancing continuity and trust between patients and caregivers. If you’re a compassionate, team-oriented nurse looking for a place where your skills and heart will make a difference every day, we’d love to meet you. **What you will do:** + Gathers and analyzes patient information + Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care + Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family + Actively seeks to prevent potential hospital acquired + Effectively communicates patient status, priority goals and interventions during consultations, rounds and handoffs + Follows all HIPAA policies and procedures + Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals **Shifts Available: Weekend Alternative Day Shift 24 hours/week** To be eligible for Weekend Alternative a colleague must work a minimum of forty-eight (48) out of fifty-two (52) weekends per year. The four weekends not worked must be requested in advance and have approval of the department. **Required Qualifications:** **Education** Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.
