Position Overview: We are currently seekin a Safety Advisor to join our team in Roseville, CA! The Safety Advisor will assist with planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). The Safety Advisor is responsible for reinforcing safety culture within the organization. 

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities: 

Training and Development: Assist in identifying training needs and gaps and propose training/education plans to fill gaps. Ensure employee have access training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. Provide training to field personnel through JSA’s (tailboards) and briefings. Evaluate Safety and training programs. Assist in developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. Support company training to ensure it complies with state and federal regulations. Safety Inspections and Compliance: Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions. Audit job sites to ensure all employees are following proper procedures. Prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective measures. Complete near miss/good catch reports. Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting. Follow up on corrective actions to ensure completion and effectiveness. Communication and Relationship Management: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and maintain working relationships with employees, supervisory personnel, state and local officials, consultants, and sub-contractors. Provide support on sensitive/critical projects. Support and Development of Safety Programs: Support Corporate Safety Initiatives. Assist in the development and enhancement of Safety programs. Support post-incident investigations. Perform analysis and trending of Safety statistics and metrics to proactively monitor safety performance.  What You'll Bring

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in safety management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering or,  5 Years of equivalent Safety Experience (ideally within power line construction) Preferred Licenses/Certifications: CIH, CSP. CUSP, OSHT, etc. OSHA 30 /OSHA 510 certification is preferred. Fluent in English written and verbal communication (bilingual in Spanish preferred). Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.  What You'll Get
