Overview ... Overview: John Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Consultant to support our operations site in Pune, India. The Safety Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities: Safety Program Development and Implementation: o Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. o Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues. o Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Incident Investigation and Reporting: o Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. o Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences. Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and standards. o Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required documentation. Safety Audits and Inspections: o Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks. o Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Emergency Response Planning: o Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. o Conduct emergency drills and ensure that all employees are trained in emergency response protocols. Continuous Improvement: o Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. o Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices. Qualifications: Education: o Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: o Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector. o Experience with safety management systems and regulatory compliance. Skills: o Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to conduct eective training sessions. o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. o Proficiency in Microsoft Oice Suite. Certifications: o Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) are highly desirable. Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
