Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through meticulous testing and validation processes. This role involves developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Your roleTest Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans outlining testing strategies, objectives, scope, and resourcesTest Case Design and Execution: Create and execute detailed test cases based on software specifications and requirementsAutomation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverageDefect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects, and communicate them to development teamsRegression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionalityCollaboration: Work closely with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to establish clear testing objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality softwarePerformance Testing: Execute performance tests to assess software scalability and reliability under various conditionsUser Acceptance Testing (UAT): Facilitate UAT to ensure the software meets user requirements and expectationsExisting Applications: Work with existing applications to find and utilize existing test plans, ensuring continuity and leveraging previous testing efforts
Your skills and experienceAIX development and test knowledgeQuality Engineering knowledge for batch systemsRetail Domain experience is an added advantageAzure Cloud / AWS experienceSafe Agile experienceProficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).Familiarity with industry-standard test automation tools.Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and collaboration abilities.Life at Capgemini
