Security Network Engineer

Description We are looking for an experienced Security Network Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and maintaining multi-tenant network environments for a wide range of clients. Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage advanced security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access technologies, across various client environments.
• Configure and maintain network security devices such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, and SonicWall to meet regulatory and client-specific requirements.
• Monitor network traffic and security logs for unusual activity, respond to alerts, and lead incident response efforts when necessary.
• Oversee the security aspects of client onboarding and offboarding, including initial assessments and network hardening.
• Conduct vulnerability management tasks, coordinate penetration testing, and assist with remediation planning.
• Support clients in preparing for audits and compliance reporting for frameworks like SOC 2 and other industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.
• Provide Tier II/III support for complex network security issues and serve as a subject matter expert in client engagements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement security best practices and recommend process improvements. Requirements • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in network security engineering, with at least 2 years in a managed service provider or multi-client environment.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-grade firewalls and VPN solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, VLANs, routing, switching, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Familiarity with threat detection, endpoint protection, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and other industry standards.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cisco ASA, Check Point, and other network security technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
