This role requires a hybrid work arrangement. At Wipfli, hybrid is defined as associates regularly work in a Wipfli office, from home and at client sites. The client sites can vary locally, regionally, or nationally depending on the industry alignment. Note that scheduled meetings at the client and in the office will require in-person attendance.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional mannerPrepare client correspondence, letters, e-mail, or other communications pertaining to engagement planning and requestsPrepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leadersResearch tax issuesCommunicate with engagement leaders regarding open items or other important matters in a timely mannerAdhere to prescribed budgets and deadlinesDevelop technical competencyAdditional Responsibilities
Recognize potential issues and/or opportunities in engagements and discuss with engagement leaderPerform a limited number of tax return interviews as neededProvide technical assistance to clientsParticipate in core CPE programsActively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and membersActively participate in firm sponsored events for assigned product line clients and prospects Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesQualifications:
3+ years of job-related experienceBachelor’s Degree in Accounting requiredCPA certification preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered.Prior accounting experience in a public accounting firm requiredProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Caseware, depreciation processing software, Tax preparation software (Axcess), Tax research software (RIA), and Go File Room is strongly desiredManufacturing and retail distribution experience requiredAmanda Feltner, from our recruiting team, will be guiding you through this process.
