SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will work with the Accounting Manager to ensure the monthly financial close process is completed timely, and accurately completes assigned areas including monthly analysis, reporting, and communications. This individual will prepare general ledger journal entries where necessary for assigned functions, prepare monthly account reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts, and review monthly account flux analysis of the income statement accounts as required. Additionally, this individual will assist with other duties and projects such as process enhancements, internal controls monitoring, SOX documentation, and various accounting and finance tasks as required.

This individual will also be responsible for certain review duties by overseeing a Staff-level Accountant. As Globus continues to grow, there will be opportunities for additional responsibility, and we are committed to providing an environment that promotes career growth and development.

Essential Functions:

Primarily executes Accounts Receivable-specific accounting tasks including Bank Cash and Reconciliations

Supports the Accounting Manager in Sales-related responsibilities and upper-management reporting

Oversees a Staff Accountant’s daily duties and reviewing work for accuracy and completeness

Partners with other finance and non-finance areas of the business in research and analysis

Assists with the successful completion of the quarterly reviews and annual external audits; including external/internal auditor requests and SOX compliance

Directly assists the Accounting Manager with ad hoc projects and analysis while continuing to create efficiencies in team processes

Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.

Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.

Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

CPA/MBA/MACC preferred, but not required

2-4 years of accounting experience (public and/or private)

High-level knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail and prioritization/organizational skills

Team player capable of working with other individuals and cross-functionally with other departments

Ability to meet assigned deadlines, and provide timely results in a fast-paced environment
