Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows:\r\nCompleting the full month-end process\r\nIndependently complete consolidation of subsidiaries and prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis\r\nPrepare and present monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position budget variance analysis;\r\nPreparation of consolidation and elimination entries;\r\nAbility to work with and fully understand large quantities of data and organize in a presentable manner\r\nProvide backup to Controller as required\r\nLead the monthly accounting close process and overall management of General Ledger, including recording company transactions, classifications and reconciliation of account balances in accordance with company policy\r\nObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure\r\nPreparation, reporting and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated results under IFRS\r\nCollaboration with external auditors to provide all requested information to facilitate audit completion\r\nCollaboration with external tax advisors to provide all requested information to facilitate the preparation and timely filing of corporate tax returns\r\nContinuously evaluate workflow processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient operations and opportunities for process improvement while maintaining a high level of accuracy\r\nPropose recommendations for changes and improvements to accounting policies\/procedures; partner with cross functional teams to develop and implement approved changes\r\nAbility to interact with all levels of associates to gain an understanding of, and resolution to, issues that pertain to the top and bottom lines; and\r\nParticipate in inventory management from a cost and accounting perspective\r\nAll other duties\/projects as assigned\r\n\r\n
