Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate to join our Brookfield Properties Corporate team. This role will support the financial reporting and operational processes for debt management, audits, and other critical financial functions within our expanding Logistics portfolio in North America. This position requires a solid understanding of IFRS and offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the management of debt-related processes, including funding, payments, accounting, reconciliation, financial reporting, lender reporting for loans, interest rate caps and swapsCollaborate with the capital markets team to provide accurate financial data and assist in executing financing and refinancing activitiesCollaborate with the Logistics finance operations team to support debt-related reporting requirements and liquidity planningProvide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making within the logistics portfolioPlay a key role in the audit process by preparing documentation, coordinating with auditors, and addressing inquiries in a timely and accurate mannerAssist in improving audit processes by identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing best practicesSupport affiliate fee management by assisting in calculations, reconciliations, and timely paymentsMaintain intercompany reconciliations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS:
Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA)3-5 years' of progressive work experience; experience in real estate and capital markets is considered an assetSolid understanding of IFRS; familiarity with financial consolidation and US GAAP accounting standards is an assetExperience with accounting and consolidation systems such as Yardi and /or OneStream is a plusHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and time management skillsStrong analytical mindset with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solvingInterest in real estate and financial markets is an asset
