Job Requirement
KBR is seeking a highly skilled Cathodic Protection Engineer who will be based in KBR Abu Dhabi Operating Center, UAE. The candidate will be part of a growing team of Materials & Corrosion Engineers that is supporting various Oil & Gas projects in the Middle East & Africa Region.
The candidate should have proven CP, Materials & Corrosion experience in Greenfield and Brownfield Engineering Projects. Good knowledge and understanding of Cathodic Protection and Corrosion deliverables such as CP System Design Basis, Material Selection, CP Scope of Work, Vendor Document Reviews, CP System Design, Material Take Offs, CP Design Report.
Key Skills & Technical Competencies:
BSc. /B.Eng. Degree Materials, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree in Engineering.NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection (CP) Level 3 Certification (minimum) is a requirement.Experience in developing CP Scope of Work, Design Reports & Calculations, CP General Arrangement Drawings and layout plans.Experience and knowledge in Materials & Corrosion deliverables in FEED & Detailed Engineering Design Phases.Experience in developing and/or reviewing CP Procedures such as DCVG, CIPS, CP Commissioning, etc.Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering Projects with demonstratable CP experience.Knowledge of Materials & Corrosion deliverables in FEED & Detailed Engineering Design Phases will be an advantage.Good skills in writing comprehensive technical reports, presentation, communication, and collaboration with various disciplines.Familiar with relevant industry codes, standards, and recommended practices.Job Responsibility and Requirement
Prepare Cathodic Protection Scope of Work/Design Philosophy and Material Take Offs.Prepare Cathodic Protection Design Reports and Design Calculations.Carry out CP Vendor Document Reviews.Support Materials & Corrosion deliverables such as Material Selection, Philosophies and Corrosion Control DocumentsProduce calculations and technical reports as per project requirements.Conduct adequacy studies of the existing Cathodic Protection SystemsApplication and Knowledge of the relevant Industry Standards/Recommended Practices for Cathodic Protection.Keep abreast with the latest trends and advancements in cathodic protection and corrosion engineering, proactively integrating new technologies and methods into design processes.Experience required:
Minimum 15 years of Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas IndustryExperience in Engineering Design and EPC Client facing, detailed technical reports and technical presentationsKey Relationships:
Department Manager, Materials & Corrosion EngineeringEngineering and Project ManagersMaterials and Corrosion EngineersOther disciplines (Mechanical, Piping, Process, etc.)Mandatory:
