**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to support the Combat Mission Systems, Weapons Systems Division, specifically the Submarine Systems programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, negotiating, and managing proposals and contracts with minimal guidance, while demonstrating leadership in contracting strategy and methods. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
As a Senior Contract Administrator you will:
+ Perform the coordination, negotiation, and management of proposals and contracts under minimal guidance.
+ Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.
+ Maintain and demonstrate a working knowledge of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, BAE Systems Contracts function, and relevant Company policies and procedures, commercial and international contracting methods, export, FAR/DFAR, and other government regulations.
+ Lead and assist proposal activities, including analysis of solicitations, preparing summaries and developing strategies and recommendations, participating in proposal team meetings, and preparing proposal documents for submittal to customers.
+ Research and make recommendations on proposal and contract language, ensuring that all necessary functions review recommendations and terms with minimal direction and guidance.
+ Head contract negotiations and collaborate with customers in definitizing contracts under general guidance from the Contracts Manager.
+ Research and provide presentations on Acquisition/Contracting topics, strategies, and approaches of moderate complexity.
+ Perform all aspects of assigned contract or purchase order processing, including accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements, and other commitments.
+ Analyze and prepare various agreements, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement, Strategic Alliances, and others
+ Lead or assist fact-finding and other audit activities.
+ Participate in final stages of assigned contract, including verifying completion of all commitments and performing assigned activities associated with contract closeout.
+ Maintain logs of proposals and other data as required, and assist in data collection for monthly/quarterly reporting to Management.
+ Act as primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects.
+ Draft, prepare, and complete internal and external correspondence on contractual matters with increasing levels of freedom, but under the guidance of a Contracts Manager.
+ Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures.
+ Develop specialized knowledge in an area of contracting, such as international contracting, certain contract types, commercial contracting, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and intellectual property.
+ Perform other duties as assigned, including travel to satisfy obligations and internal/external learning opportunities.
+ This is a Hybrid position where you will be in the office 3 days a week.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field
+ Minimum 4 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in a defense contracting environment
+ Strong knowledge of contract laws, regulations, and principles, including FAR and DFARS
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Certified Contract Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification
+ Experience with submarine systems programs or other defense-related contracts
+ Familiarity with BAE Systems' policies, procedures, and systems
+ Strong understanding of program management principles and practices
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
