Senior Contracts Specialist Marlborough, MA, United States We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Contracts Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing, negotiating, and overseeing the execution of various contracts, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. This role requires a deep understanding of contract law, excellent business negotiation skills, and the ability to interact comfortably with customers and internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** + Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, confidentiality agreements, and partnership agreements. + Lead contract negotiations with customers to achieve favorable terms and conditions. + Engage internal customers across sales and marketing leadership to ensure business goals are implemented into negotiation strategy. + Ensure all contracts comply with applicable legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies. + Provide expert advice and guidance on contract terms and conditions to internal stakeholders. + Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly. + Maintain organized and up-to-date contract records and documentation. + Develop and implement contract management processes and best practices. + Collaborate with sales and marketing, legal and finance, accounting and other departments to support contract-related activities. + Recommend strategies to maximize sales while mitigate contractual risks. + Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure contractual terms meet their expectations while ensuring alignment to business goals. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing leaders, finance and legal, accounting, and other departments. + Train and mentor junior contracts specialists and other team members as needed. **Knowledge:** + In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements. + Understanding of industry standards and best practices in contract management. + Familiarity with legal terminology and contract drafting techniques. + Awareness of risk management principles and strategies. **Skills:** + Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. + High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. **Behaviors:** + Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior in all interactions. + Shows initiative and takes proactive steps to address issues and improve processes. + Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. + Displays a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. + Maintains a customer/client focused approach and strives to meet or exceed expectations. **Experiences:** + A minimum of 2+ years of experience in contract negotiation, with a focus on complex and high-value contracts. + Proven experience in business negotiations and interacting with customers/clients. + Demonstrated ability to successfully manage contract lifecycles from inception to completion. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) is strongly preferred. This role is critical to our organization, and we are looking for a candidate who can bring both expertise and a proactive approach to contract management.
