What you'll do:
We are advancing our business steering model with the introduction of the Product Controller role. In line with SAP's strategy update and the expanded responsibilities of our Chief Product Officers, this role is crucial for managing business performance by focusing on quantity and cost per unit. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Product Units and internal service providers—such as Infrastructure, Support, and Platform Services—to ensure accurate and consistent reporting through our new Product Controlling system. Your efforts will drive alignment between operational metrics and financial planning, fostering transparency and efficiency across the organization.
Actively engage in FinOps communities, co-driving improvements with a focus on financial planning and reporting. Develop deep understanding of products and services, its consumers, and ecosystem. Model quantities and KPIs reflecting cost drivers in collaboration with Cloud Application, S&O, Solution Managers, and Product Architects. Own and maintain cost allocation models (e.g., “cooking recipe”) in SAP PaPM and continuously enhance systems in collaboration with IT. Ensure metering and master data transparency to enable direct cost assignment and identify deviations from commercial metrics. Drive profit contribution analysis and apply the new business steering model for product controlling.

Responsibilities include driving business capability implementation, maintaining the Controlling delivery model, fostering professional development for Controllers, applying Agile practices, and promoting Controlling within SAP and beyond
