Senior Director, Business Operations - Chief of Staff

General Summary:

Provides operational support based on knowledge of relevant business systems, products, processes, and procedures and supports operational activities for business growth. Contributes to and updates plans and monitors, collects, and analyzes program/product metrics (e.g., forecasts, budgets, demands, KPIs). Establishes market baselines and contributes to forecasting analyses, processes, and reports, and addresses supply/demand related issues. Contributes to pricing execution and resolves pricing and rebate issues. Formally presents and communicates key metrics and findings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 12+ years of business operations or related experience.
OR
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 14+ years of business operations or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance,  Marketing, or related field.

•    12+ years of experience with ERP, CRM (e.g., Sales Force), business analytics (e.g., Tableau), Microsoft Suite, or related systems/applications.

•    5+ years of relevant technology industry experience.

•    5+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

•    5+ years in a leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).

•    4+ years of working with P&L responsibility, operating budgets, and/or project financials.

•    4+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Develops and drives operational strategies across the organization for business unit strategy and initiatives and mentors others on relevant business systems, products, processes, and procedures. Designs and manages operational activities for business growth.
•    Presents and communicates on systems enhancements, products, processes, and metrics.
•    Oversees and develops processes improvements for customer setup activities and drives the delivery of key materials and information to customers. 
•    Flow price quotation to customers in coordination with business unit segment lead as well as financial manager, contribute to deal discussions, issue pricing book for customers, and resolve complex pricing execution issues.
•    Directs the establishment of long-term, strategic department goals and reviews market or KPIs. Oversees the management of overall customer opportunity and forecast.
•    Drives long-term demand planning to support product or customer requirements. Owns supply and demand issues and works with stakeholders to implement processes to anticipate and prevent gaps or discrepancies.
•    Drives and communicates long-term plans for market research to align on sell in/sell through trends, value chain, and market shares, and work with stakeholders to inform strategic, data-driven decisions. 
•    Owns and manages development and execution of plans based on an expert understanding of program/product metrics (e.g., forecasts, budgets, demands, KPIs). 
•    Drives forecasting processes and oversees forecast analysis and reporting. Establishes departmental roadmap and associated metrics based on technical and organizational needs. 
•    Finds solutions to abstract problems in unique situations that require intricate analysis and evaluation of ambiguous factors. Collaborates with leaders across the organization to direct the resolution of highly complex, unusual, or abstract business problems across functional or organizational lines.
•    Collaborates closely with high-level representatives across functions and partners globally, both internally and externally, to develop, integrate, and/or execute large initiatives.
•    Engages business partners and communicates information to key stakeholders across the organization and externally to resolve large scale system or program conflicts and challenges. 
•    Oversees multiple, large, and extremely complex projects that are relatively diverse in nature and objectives. Accountable for operational integration, staffing, managing priorities, and implementing changes to meet project goals.
•    Serves as a change agent by identifying strategic and long-term opportunities for change and then communicating the vision, implications, and rework associated with that change.

Level of Responsibility:
•    Works independently with no supervision.
•    Provides supervision to other supervisors/managers who are direct reports.
•    Decisions are more significant in their impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives. Errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results. Errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.
•    Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.
•    Overall responsibility to ensure budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional areas and organization are realistically set and attained. Erroneous decisions, failure to achieve objectives results in significant long-term impact on the company's overall success.
•    Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that will have substantial impact over the organization).
•    Most tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; tasks require simultaneously executing multiple cognitive abilities and maintaining information in short or long-term memory while performing the task.
•    Regularly determines what needs to be done and is involved with sharing innovative solutions to achieve broad policies and objectives.
•    Works on abstract problems in variable situations that typically require complex analysis, interpretation, or evaluation of intangible factors. Directs the resolution of complex problems that have impact beyond own area. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
•    Develops, redesigns organizational strategies and provides overall direction for various functional areas and/or entire organization. Has influence over the formulation and achievement of long-term business plans and objectives.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$220,000.00 - $330,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
