Senior Director- Oncology Brand Marketing, Princeton, NJ - Hybrid

We will focus on our customers needs, and bring them the highest possible level of service at all times. **Job Summary:** The Senior Director of Marketing - Oncology is responsible for the planning and execution of marketing strategies and tactics specifically designed for the oncology clinical practice and hospital settings.The role will be key in building and maintaining relationships with Oncology Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) treating specific oncology conditions. Current emphasis on cutaneous oncology (i.e., cSCC) and buy-and-bill. This individual will also need to understand clinical data, patient journey, and customer needs, in order to contribute to commercial cross-functional teams, and will lead the launch of a new product. **Responsibilities:** + Sr. Director of Marketing reports directly to Vice President/BU Head, Sales & Marketing + Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, media and public relations program within the given marketplace. + Ensure consistent articulation of the brand strategy and positioning across the Oncology business unit as well as internal and external partners. + Accountable for ensuring brands meet or exceed annual revenue and unit forecasts + Manage P&L and related budgets + Directs brand forecasting process with cross-functional team, provides input into market assumptions, and coordinates supply needs with supply chain team + Lead and be accountable for the development and tactical execution of marketing programs and spearheading pilot initiatives designed to test and learn, and ultimately increase product adoption + Analyze impact of programs (i.e., digital, NPP and Peer to Peer Programs) to ensure an optimal marketing mix with KPIs and ROI + Lead and be accountable for Brand Planning process across for OBU brand/brands for both HCPs and Patient and ensure that the strategies are comprehensive, multi-channel and lead to measurable outcomes that drive growth. Includes launch plans, market research, brand creation, brand strategies and tactics, and peer to peer initiatives + Sr. Director of Marketing will lead and be accountable for a team of up to 4 marketers of various levels + Is the subject matter expert on the market landscape and competitive intelligence for categories where we compete + Spends time in the field with OAMs and customers regularly and owns KOL relationships + Actively participates in key industry conferences to engage with customers and stay current with those relationships, competitors and market dynamics. + Acts as a mentor to develop other marketers as well as interns who are interested in pursuing and/or growing in a marketing career path. + Share learnings with senior leadership at internal meetings focused on how to improve ROI and accelerate brand growth + Lead monthly GTN meetings with Finance and liaise/review with shared services to ensure were on budget and profitable + Lead and be accountable for inventory management for OBU with Manufacturing Supply team + Facilitates, or co-leads, launch meetings, sales meetings, and Speaker Training meetings. + Works with Human Resources and senior management to implement marketing team policies, and ensures adherence to those and any Sun corporate policies as appropriate + Plays an important role in medical conference strategies and ensures that our brands are aligned to the agreed-upon strategy supported by data **Qualifications:** + Bachelors degree and a minimum of 12 years pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience with at least 7 years in a Marketing/Brand Management function. + Minimum of 4 years experience leading a team of direct reports in a marketing function. + Additional experience in sales, managed care, and/or sales training is a significant plus. + Experience building a team and new product launch in oncology is a significant plus. + Buy-and-bill experience is a strong plus. + Individual must have strong brand planning, forecasting, brand building, budget management, vendor management, and product launch experience. + The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for creating well-differentiated and disruptive brands. + Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills, and be well versed in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel etc.) as well as new AI/ChatGPT tools. + Solid business and financial acumen + Requires a passion for building breakthrough brands with strategies and tactics that deliver on identified customer needs. + Must have a track record of leading product launches and inspiring high performing teams to deliver exceptional results. + Possess strong analytical, project management, fiscal management and decision making skills. + Must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic environment without losing focus on business goals. + Be a strong and dependable leader who builds trust with management and their team. + Must be transparent, ethical, and honest, and foster a culture of the same within their team. + Must be collaborative, poised, diplomatic, and respectful of others opinions. + Regular overnight travel to conferences, field rides, market research and other routine business travel required. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
