We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skills. Senior Engineers often manage small and medium size projects in it’s entirety or subtasks of larger projects or studies in accordance with contractual obligations. Senior Engineers are responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the project including coordination of technical disciplines and providing technical direction to junior and intermediate staff. With greater experience this position would lead to taking on greater client facing roles, leading our design teams to provide high quality design submissions to our clients and management of Municipal and Provincial projects.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering8+ years of related roads and highways engineering experience, or a broad general engineering background is requiredProfessional registration with PEOPotential to perform in a lead capacity (i.e. highways/civil lead)Excellent written and oral communications skillsFamiliarity of industry practices and regulations are requiredMust also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on projectExperience on MTO and/or municipal roadway projects is a mustExperience managing teams and junior staff.This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
