Responsible for designing an efficient assembly line by calculating demand at capacity, determining station requirements, and ensuring ergonomic and spatial considerations are met.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field Experience in mobile equipment, automotive, or heavy equipment industry preferred Experience with assembly line design using Demand Flow Technology (DFT) Strong knowledge of Lean principles Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, machining, welding, assembly techniques, time studies, and torque tooling Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and station calculation Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and modifying assembly line layouts Experience with budget planning and Capex creation Project planning experience for assembly line design implementation Experience with Core Tree for determining Build IDsJob Responsibilities:
Calculate demand at capacity and build Excel models to determine the required number of workstations Review OMS (Operator Method Sheets) and work content to optimize and combine workstations Create and modify AutoCAD details to design and refine the assembly line layout Ensure ergonomic standards and proper work cell spacing are maintained Evaluate utility, tooling, and equipment needs to support production requirements Develop and submit Capex proposals for required equipment and tooling Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement efficient assembly processes Conduct time studies and utilize DFT principles to balance the line and sequence production events Ensure proper documentation for station layouts, tooling requirements, and process changes Participate in project planning and provide technical support throughout the assembly line design processPay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
