About the Role:
The Senior Market Manager – Frontier is responsible for strategic planning with the Zone Director – Frontier, and the implementation of initiatives that drive attainment of HEINEKEN USA’s performance goals. This position drives strategic consistency in execution and focus across assigned Market Managers, as well as in directly assigned distributors and geographies. The Senior Market Manager – Frontier is a leadership position and will be actively involved in the development and coaching of their assigned Market Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop the strategy and executional plan for the zone in support of HEINEKEN USA’s performance targets, including MBOs for zone’s distributors and management of monthly and annual business planning processes to ensure the greatest return on resources.
• Work as a consultant to key distributors to uncover insights and opportunities that drive achievement of HUSA business objectives.
• Manage a team of Market Managers – Frontier Zone by leading and coaching to set goals, provide direction, inspire a high level of performance, and develop the skills to grow as leaders within the company through 1:1 coaching and weekly team meetings.
• Engage and support team in removing obstacles and driving solutions to market challenges they encounter.
• Responsible for onboarding and training of new team members.
• Support and ensure process effectiveness of the Frontier Zone hybrid coverage structure where Frontier Sales and Region Sales split distributor coverage within a state, collaborating with each other, regional chain, and regional marketing to ensure consistency in programs, pricing, and chain execution.
• Drive improvements to a hub-and-spoke supply chain and its related complexities in order to provide distributors access to all priority portfolio SKUs across zone.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with distributor stakeholders by phone and in writing to drive achievement of the business objectives through market activation, as well as to share market insights/opportunities and ensure product availability.
• Ensure presence in-market through monthly in-person meetings with assigned key distributors and quarterly in-person contact with the team’s key distributors.
• Manage and allocate time across assigned distributors to maximize revenue growth and volume potential. Ensure this allocation process is sound for assigned Market Managers.
• Use compelling selling stories to demonstrate opportunity and value identified in data and engage multiple levels throughout distributor organizations to influence decisions and action. Ensure that Market Managers are continuously developing capability in this practice through training, coaching, and modeling of required skill sets.
• Ensure assigned Market Manager collaboration with internal operations team and distributor teams is effective and efficient in optimizing product availability and minimizing out-of-stocks.
• Drive success of key sponsorships and their local activation, including management of POS and other marketing materials; collaborate with national and regional marketing teams and marketing agencies, while serving as the regional marketing contact for assigned distributors.
• Ensure that the chain sales insight and opportunities communication process is creating value for distributors and HEINEKEN USA.
• Develop and maintain an active understanding of market consolidations in assigned territory, as well as the capabilities of the wholesalers involved in the consolidation; actively provide suggestions for the direction of brand rights for consolidations and innovation.
• Develop and maintain a clear working knowledge of the state laws across assigned Manage financials, including oversight of pricing, inventory, bill backs, market budgets, and invoicing. This includes the strategic allocation of resources across multiple distributors to ensure the greatest return on resources and Zone objectives.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience managing within retail and/or three-tier distribution environment
• Strong financial and business acumen in the areas of data analysis, reporting, market knowledge
• Strong supply chain and forecasting acumen: processes and tools, and the effects throughout the system
• Strong leadership skills
• Critical thinking skills and flexibility to adjust course in order to accomplish zone objectives
• Knowledge of PowerBi and The Source, and the ability to use the data derived from these tools on a strategic level to drive insights and create selling stories
• Ability to diplomatically address and manage a great deal of both positive and challenging customer interactions
• Self-directed ability to prioritize and organize a complex workload
• Passion for winning/drive for success
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with strategic business planning
• Sales team leadership experience desired
• Sales excellence: Understanding Distributor Dynamics, Selling & Negotiation Skills, Sales Performance Management
• Strong presentation skills and ability to lead effectives sales meetings
• Strong functional capabilities in Microsoft Office, specifically Xcel and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 32 lbs
• Frequent stooping, reaching, bending, twisting required
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit in vehicle for extended periods
• Must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must obtain a valid solicitor’s permit (upon hire)
