Woodside is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support its onshore project portfolio, including the Karratha Gas Plant (KGP), Pluto LNG, and King Bay Supply Base (KBSB). This position plays a key role in the delivery of brownfield modifications, infrastructure upgrades, and emissions reduction initiatives.
The role is based in Perth and involves working within an integrated project team alongside Tier-1 engineering and construction contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mechanical engineering input and oversight across project scopes
Review and approve design documentation in accordance with Woodside standards
Support construction, inspection, commissioning, and handover activities
Participate in risk assessments including HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA
Ensure technical integrity and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Engage with internal stakeholders and contractors to resolve technical issues
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong experience in the oil and gas industry, with LNG exposure highly regarded
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical integrity and process safety
Effective communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with brownfield project delivery and operational readiness
