Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a cross-functional team. In this role, you will work on the design and development of parts and assemblies for defibrillator/monitor products and accessories. Your work will encompass a variety of designs including plastic parts, electronics packaging, electro-mechanical systems, wire harnesses and cables, patient interfacing accessories, and power systems.

ResponsibilitiesResearch, design, develop, modify, and verify components/modules for medical devices under minimal supervision.Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and produce sub-system level designs.Develop and analyze engineering solutions.Apply fundamental and advanced concepts, practices, and procedures to solve problems.Troubleshoot engineering design issues and propose effective solutions, implementing design changes efficiently.Follow fundamental industry standards, design requirements, and test strategies related to regulatory requirements.Create or refine engineering documentation independently, such as the Design History file.Adhere to R&D procedures like design controls and risk management as per the Quality Management System.Quickly process and assimilate procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required for the role.Work on complex problems, applying advanced experience and learnings.Demonstrate ownership of tasks and prioritize work with minimal supervision.Essential SkillsDesign engineering expertise.Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or applicable technical field.8+ years of applicable experience.2+ years of direct people management experience preferred.Alternate degree requirements such as Industrial Design may be considered.Work Environment

This role is an individual contributor position that requires using professional expertise and working independently. The role typically requires a university degree or extensive practical knowledge gained through experience. Attention to detail is critical in making evaluative judgments based on the analysis of information.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
