Senior Program Director, F-16 Operations

Act as single point of contact responsible for ensuring the successful execution and compliance of all F-16 operations and related program activities. Determine and plan overall support requirements, including personnel, maintenance operations, site standup and maintenance, health and safety, and financial management. Direct and coordinate program activities designed to ensure effective and economical support. Manage the hiring process for program personnel across all program operating locations. The Senior Program Director will coordinate efforts with U.S. Government counterparts, including, but not limited to, providing focus on maintaining schedules, managing costs, meeting contractual commitments, improving customer service, and enhancing the operational efficiency of the teams.

What you will be responsible for:

Reports to the General Manager of Government ProgramsResponsible for overall management and performance of the contract IAW the PWSServe as the primary customer point for contact for the programProvide technical direction and the approach to modification and upgrades on the aircraftEnsure CDRL Management, Program Management Reviews (PMR), and associated staff functions, such as MIS/IT management, are completedStaff and manage site leadership and Program Management Office staffIdentify and achieve program cost targets and financial goalsManage task priorities, short-notice suspense, operational constraints, and other potential impacts to maintain schedule requirements, and assumes total performance responsibility for work performed and data deliveredProvide daily supervision and direction to staffResponsible for complying with all safety and compliance regulationsTravel is requiredAll other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university in a qualified engineering discipline; or fifteen (15) years related experienceMinimum of Fifteen (15) years of experience in aerospace logistics with exposure to both military and commercial operating environmentsExtensive knowledge of Performance Based Logistics theory and practical applicationExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Must be able to lift and carry boxes and other awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.It’s preferred for the position to be located in Wood Dale, but it may be eligible for remote work at leadership’s discretion.This position will require significant travel to help stand up new sites.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $205,000 to $250,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and ADD insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
