Senior Project Planner (Construction Planner – Project Controls)
Start/End Dates:01 July 2025 – 31 December 2026 (18-month contract)
Location:Tarragona, Spain
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, Monday to Friday (site-based only; no remote or hybrid options)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to lead planning activities on a brownfield construction project located in El Morell, Tarragona. As the sole Planner on site, you will be integral in developing, managing, and monitoring construction schedules, interfacing with contractors and site leadership, and ensuring accurate progress tracking. This is a fully site-based role requiring a proactive and collaborative individual with strong construction planning skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the sole Planner onsite, leading all planning and scheduling activities.
Interface directly with contractors to review and refine schedules that accurately reflect the project scope and progress.
Collaborate regularly with the Construction Manager and discipline Superintendents (Civil, Mechanical, E&I) to ensure schedule consistency and alignment.
Monitor schedule progress, identify risks or delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
Evaluate schedule logic, durations, and dependencies to ensure robustness.
Maintain and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare and communicate schedule updates to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience in project planning within construction or large-scale industrial environments.
Prior experience working on brownfield construction projects with strong knowledge of construction sequences.
On-site planning experience is essential—preferably in Spain or a similar environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as the lead planner on a project site.
