Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst job is responsible for the overall quality of systems and technology that are released into ETP’s production environment. The scope of this role includes the comprehensive aspects of quality including testing documentation, planning and execution of testing, testing validation, and obtaining approval using both manual processes and automated tools that are available in the SGWS environment.
In their role, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the product meets business requirements and overall business objectives by tracking and reporting quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status, as well as documenting problems and communicating the issue to development staff to assist in their resolution

Primary Responsibilities Serve in a team leader capacity with large-scale platform testing (SAP, JDA, etc.)  Lead the implementation, build-out, or expansion of automated testing tools  Coordinate and schedule testing programs with project and program teams  Reporting testing outcomes to project stakeholders  Coordinating the work of 3rd party Quality Assurance teams  Perform quality and testing audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality and testing standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed properly and consistently  Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for SGWS quality assurance programs  Review 3rd party testing programs to ensure quality and compliance standards with SGWS practices  Understand various programming languages (ABAP, Java, C#, Perl, Python, etc.) and deployment tools such as Turnover, QGM/Solution Manager, as well as devOps and CI/CD practices  Identify test data requirements and work with other teams as needed to create and maintain test data  Execute tests, both manual and automated, including documentation of test results and defects, assist in defect troubleshooting and resolution 

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of software testing tools  Create, run, and maintain reports to measure and track testing metrics  Participate in test automation, including framework design, script development and maintenance  Stay up-to-date on software application testing tools and QA best practices  Deliver quality and testing process training to IT staff and project teams  Perform quality and testing audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality and testing standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed properly and consistently  Coach others, mentor peers to help them build capabilities  Improve the efficiency of QA team, mitigate team conflicts and communication problems  Motivate team members to work collaboratively and effectively  Plan and document succession planning within scope of responsibility  Report HP ALM QA metrics and testing status to project and application team members  Support integration testing cycles through performing test scripts, coaching SAP super users and possible defect resolution  Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, information systems, business administration or other industry related curriculum) or combination of education and equivalent experience  4 plus years serving as a Quality Assurance Analyst or business analyst  2 plus years experience with QA Testing tools such as Talend Data Quality, QuerySurge, Informatica, IBM InfoShere or similar Data Services QA testing tools 4 plus years strong SQL skills Understanding of cloud technologies like Azure or AWS Experience in Microfocus ALM or Microsoft TFS or Version One management tools Understanding of Application Programming Interface (API) along with mutli-system integrations 4 plus years experience in testing Data Warehouse technologies, Tableau and Business Objects reporting tools Strong team player with willingness to collaborate  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  Strong capability to execute tasks with quality  Proficient oral and written communication skills  Good time management skills (i.e. works efficiently)  Strong attention to detail  Strong decision-making skills  Experience executing a testing with large-scale platforms (SAP, JDA, etc.)  Experience working with automated testing tools  Experience coordinating and scheduling testing teams  Expertise with software application test planning, execution and related testing tools  Experience working with testing teams that are located offshore  Ability to demonstrate Agile delivery values  Physical Demands EEO Statement
