Reports to: Manager FLSA: Non-exempt ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Performs on call services as requested. Actively participates and ensures room turn overs are efficient and timely. Assesses surgical schedule in coordination with RN's and management to ensure patient needs are met and all necessary equipment/ supplies are available. Minimum Qualifications:* Minimum Education Certified Surgical Technology Program* *Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
