Fairview is looking for a Service and Product Assistant at Fairview Ridges Hospital. This is a casual position, meaning all hours would be as needed. The Service and Product Assistant (SPA) is responsible for receipt, shipment, delivery, replenishment, cleaning, and maintenance or appropriate equipment, supplies, and forms. Responsibilites: Receive, deliver, replenish, clean, and maintain medical supplies, equipment, linen, and forms across patient rooms and inventory locations. Monitor and maintain inventory levels by calculating par levels, performing routine cycle counts, documenting variances, and removing expired or recalled products. Identify and prepare medical supplies and surgical instruments for case cart setup based on the operating room schedule; coordinate shipments and restocking across all locations. Perform gross decontamination and cleaning of instruments and patient care equipment; ensure proper rotation and routing of medical equipment. Respond to customer supply and equipment requests with urgency and professionalism, prioritizing life-threatening situations and using effective communication methods. Collaborate with nursing and leadership staff to support inventory decisions, maintain patient confidentiality, and uphold departmental and safety standards. Operate inventory systems and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dock lifts) safely, while adapting services to the developmental needs of the patient population. Required Qualifications One year or less comparable materials or related experience Can bend, reach, stand and lift a maximum of 75 pounds Be able to operate a computer for supply requests, equipment requests, equipment tracking, and efficiency reporting.
