Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves conducting manual and automated testing of software applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining comprehensive test documentation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.Assist in the development and execution of automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines for medical devices.Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and quality assurance, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.Essential SkillsProficiency in manual testing techniques and tools.Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks.Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for medical device software (e.g., FDA, ISO).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.Experience with hardware-attached software is highly desirable.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
